Zinc plate, Etching ground, sharp nail, acid, printing sheets

Step 1: Cleaning and preparing the zinc plate.
Step 2: Applying the Ground ( A waxy acid-resistant substance) onto the zinc plate.
Step 3: Drawing the design onto the zinc plate using a sharp nail.
Step 4: Etching the plate by submerging it in a bath of acid.
Step 5: Removing the ground.
Step 6: Inking and wiping the zinc plate.
Step 7: Printing the image onto the printing sheet using the printmaking machine.

In this project, I employed zinc plate etching technique to create a unique print. Through a multi-step process, I etched a design onto the zinc plate and printed the resulting image onto the printing sheet. Following are the steps that outline my process:
